Subject:[RESOGUIT-L] Reso in Jazz
Date:Thursday, February 15, 2007  16:52:46 (-0500)
From:Bill McCloskey <mccloskey @.....com>

Lately I've been listening to a lot of jazz that includes resophonic guitar.
This morning it was the Rob Ickes jazz album where the reso blends so well
with the soprano sax. The sax player Bill Evan's album soulgrass which
includes Jerry Douglas, the Bill Frizell Nashville album, Rich Arnold's
recent work, and there is a new album out called MB3 - a guitar trio album
that has a track of reso playing doing Miles Davis's All Blues.

It is all SO great. I just wish there was a lot more of it.
