Hey Bryan,
Thanks for the info. I'm an Arkansas native and have had the pleasure to
play with Jim on many of my trips to Moutian View. He was quite a picker even
after his mishap. He'll be missed.

Most won't know Jim Eudy. He died Feb. 16 at Mountain View, Arkansas, at age
68. He was a maker of good sounding resophonic guitars, although he did this as a
hobby/sideline and on a limited basis. He built my guitar in 1999, solid maple,
natural finish, square neck, trimmed in walnut. And at a very reasonable price.
(one of the best buys I ever made) He did not try to compete in any way with the
professional luthiers. His guitars were aimed more toward sound than cosmetic,
and he sold generally to tourists. Incidentally, he was also one of the best
regional players around. My guitar was the last one he made, as he accidentally
cut off part of his right hand, and that ended his building of dobros. But he
continued to play, however, simply switching to a flat pick, and he sounded
almost as good as before. RIP, Jim.
