I enjoyed getting to hang out a bit with Chad, and managed to introduce him
to Red Bear Trading Co. thumb picks and Bradley steels. Along with that koa
Rayco that he became so attached to, I think Chad came away from Wintergrass
with a pretty good shopping list.
Sorry Tom, but that wasn't a Zoot suit, just a plain 'ole western yoked suit
like they all wear down in Nashville. Chad did look pretty snappy
regardless. It's always nice to see a musician dress up for work.
JD responded to questions about his work with Paul Beard on a signature
model. To paraphrase: "We're nearly there but there is a long way to go."
The prototype he was playing sounded very nice. Very nice.
