Sooo, you swapped a Benoit 8 string for an MA-6. Congratulations Bill on
your new used acquisition! Enjoy! Just after you put the Benoit back up for
sale I purchased a used jumbo cherry Harlow. Both of us can now sit back and
enjoy our recent acquisitions (LOL).

Subject: [RESOGUIT-L] I guess you could say I'm a Beard man
Just picked up my 4th Beard. I stupidly sold my six string MA a while ago
and have been kicking myself ever since. About 6 months ago I treated myself
to a MA 8 that Mike himself picked out and it was and is an amazing
instrument. Then I took the plunge about a month ago and picked up a
Road-o-phonic - an instrument that the Beard folks have been marketing
wrong. Instead of a good travel guitar, it is actually one of the finest lap
steels I've played. I had an order for a MA6 with Mike but it looked like I
was going to have to forget it - my cash was needed elsewhere and it looked
like it was going to be a while before the new Beards were going to be ready
and my cash was going to be available. I sadly postponed my order with Mike.
And then, a miracle: I sold one resonator just as a used MA came on the
market for about the same amount. I sent off the old dobro yesterday and
just picked up the new (used) MA 6 a few hours ago. What a monster guitar.
It feels so good to have an MA6 again. They look pretty all lined up.
I played a Clinesmith as well today for the first time. Very nice, even
tone. Beautiful workmanship. But nothing compares to the MA's.
Unbelievable guitars.
