I have a Flinthill with some upgrades that I like. From what I read, a
GoldTone from the Beard shop is a sure winner for a few hundred more.

Subject: [RESOGUIT-L] Recommendation please
Hi. I am new to this list and to the reso. I play a little guitar,
banjo, and dulcimer but have never even touched a reso before today. I
am looking to buy an "el cheapo" just to get started on ... maybe I'll
upgrade later. I played a Flinthill 100S (@ $300) today and it sounds
good to me but, like I said I'm a newbie. I was hoping someone here
would offer up an opinion on this instrument and maybe a recommendation
of others in the low end that I should consider. I'm sure this question
has been asked a gazillion times but I did do a search of the archives
and didn' t come up with anything. Thanks for any info you care to offer.
Jim
