Hey Richie, ya wanna hear something really funny? At the monthly jam a
coupla weeks ago, I had 2 individuals asking me for lessons. Lemme see, I'm
down here in RI and my mentor is up in NH, and my mentor doesn't think he's
qualified, yet folks are asking me for pointers.

qualified, teacher. Correct bad habits BEFORE they become "routine".
This's experience talkin' folks. I'd been playing over 50 yrs. BEFORE I
took my first Heffernan Workshop and it became immediately obvious that,
whew, do I ever have "bad habits". But at least they've been pointed out to
me, and I've corrected some, and I'm working to correct others. At least
I'm *aware* of them!!! I think being aware of, and working to correct
faults, is a huge step towards playing better.
BTW, thanks for pointing out what my wrist was doing up around the 14th fret
and beyond. I knew I was doing that, but now, I'm more conscious of it and
work to keep the bar square with the frets.

Anyone who's heard Richie play soon realizes the man is qualified to teach.
I just wish there was more opportunity for me to take lessons.
