don't know about anyone else, but I've had really good luck
with Euphonon strings..
just google Euphonon Strlings...
phosphor bronze $26.00/ doz + $5 shipping = $31.00
and they come in coils.. i.e. all 12
strings of the same gauge.... or add $1.50 $ 32.00
+ 1.50 = $32.50 and the strings
will arrive straight (uncoiled) in a triangle shaped
long box.
remember to make sure you get the gauge string you need.
for an extra $2 I got them to swap out the first 2
strings to .016 and .018...
that's what made the usual $24,00 /doz to $26.00/doz
Tip from Dick DeNeve about buying strings in bulk...
lay them out on the carpet in your living room and put
a dab of red nail polish on
the top string (.016)... that way you won't confuse the
two top unwrapped strings
if you're in a hurry. With .016 and .018 (for me)
it's not so much of a problem.
I used to use .017 and .018.. that was more of a
challenge.
Tom, on his way to the radio station to scare
everybody : > )
