  You are, of course, not wearing shoes.  Why would you?  You're on the couch
and there's a nice soft carpet.  But you only find 5 little cut ends of the
strings to throw away.  Until you get up to put the now nicely-tuned guitar away
and, you guessed it.  The last piece shows up, buried to the hilt, in the soft
meat next to your big toe.  You drop the reso and the high D string breaks.  Here
we go again. :<(
   
  Maybe those dull old strings weren't so bad after all.
