Subject:Re: [RESOGUIT-L] Ordering A Custom Dream Reso
Date:Tuesday, March 27, 2007  17:19:35 (-0400)
From:Bill McCloskey <mccloskey @.....com>

I've played a lot of high end resos. They were all good. They were all
different. Some as different as night and day. When I first played the Mike
Auldridge Beard, I fell in love: just like that. I had never heard any
instrument that sounded as good. I've since had the opportunity to compare
it to 2 sheerhorns, Model D Resophonic, a Clinesmith, and countless others.
I thought all those instruments sounded great. None of them sounded better
than my MA. Some (the scheerhorns) sounded similar but not better. Some
sounded very different and unique, but nothing I'd trade the MA for.

That said, it doesn't mean I don't look at every reso for sale on Ebay.
There are a couple I'm watching now that look sweet.
