Do you think that The Tony Rice Unit doesn't swing? I would agree,
though, that most traditional bluegrass doesn't really swing. As

hm-m-mm... well, sometimes 'groove' is what me really mean when we
say swing.. like, for instance, on Peter Rowan's "blue" album that he did
years ago (the station has it on vinyl) there's a cut of "Cabin of Love".
It's the only tune on the entire album that Peter didn't write, and it's in
an incredible groove.. the rhythm is hard to describe but whenever I
used to play it (I'll have to dig it out for next week's show--assuming the
station hasn't archived it) and play it..
