Actually, my two sons would agree with you. They try not to mention the word
banjo in public, for fear of being involuntarily sterilized. They tell their
close friends they were adopted, and their mother cooperates with this. When
people ask about their father playing the banjo, they simply say "don't ask,
don't tell"...
I'm afraid my playing the Dobro hasn't helped.
