Don; if you want to magnetize a guitar; you need to obtain a STEEL guitar.
Perhaps taking Lithium would help you; but I'll explain this later.
You could also ask Jerry Douglas to share with you which pickup lines (not
cables) worked best for him. If you want to learn about flux-lines you need to
ask Flux.
I suspect that attracting chicks is your true albeit unstated goal. I doubt that
magnetizing chicks is a viable means toward realizing your goal. My theory is
contrary to your idea; I think that degaussing chicks and yourself would be a
better start. I am thinking that eliminating inherent repulsion could be a very
good start. Where the playing banjo and/or playing resophonic guitar fits within
the topic of repulsion is subjective (your results will vary) and I can offer no
useful guidance.
Getting back to the Lithium. Lithium is proscribed with some success to people
with bipolar disorder. It is for some people a pharmacological form of a
de-gausser. I am an empirical data point on this debate: I do not take Lithium
and I am single. But the statistical significance of a sample of 1 is moot.
I hope that this helps you.
