Subject:Re: [RESOGUIT-L]to magnetize chicks or to not magnetize chicks....that is the question?

Hi guys! I just gotta get in on some of this stuff with my own two-cents
worth of crazy.

If you need a "chick-magnet",...Blow harp!

Okay,..it's not reso,..but a lot of women seem to love the sound of a
well-bent reed, no matter what.

I have no explanation why that is..I just know that the ladies, even more
than their fellas, love those mean, wailin', bluesy tones. Their eyes seem
to fix right on it as they watch the player make all those warbles,
blow-bends and tongue-blocks.

It's been my own experience, at least, that after I feel I just whipped off
the sweetest most excellent reso-break of my entire picking
existance,...some gal inevitably comes up and effuses,.." I just LOVE
whatcha did on that harmonica....Do some more!". Oh well,...

But what makes it really cool,...is you can set your reso bar aside or stuff
it in your back pocket for a moment, ( presuming you're wearing your
axe,..); blow your eight-bar solo then go back to slidin' on your
instrument, using your harp as your bar!

It's a bit shy on the sustain and volume,..but it looks cool and you're
ready for the next opportunity to split your own hot solo between your reso
licks and tin sandwich.

"Chick-magnet"?..Well,... .at least a harmonica is ferrous.

Cheers!

Harpy Easter/ Passover.
