I'm a fairly new dobro player and recently bought a Rob Ickes Webb
strap. Thought I should start practicing playing standing up.
First off, I don't sound anymore like Rob Ickes than before I bought the
strap. (I've been working Rob's version of Thinking Tonight of my Blues
Eyes.)
I put the head stock end of the strap between the low G/hi D and B
tuners. So far it stays out of my way.
I've got a question on the other end - this strap has a "leash lock".
I've played guitar for 40 years and never heard of these. I guess you
put the leash loop on the strap button and twist the end of the strap
around a few times to get it tight on the strap button. Seems kind of
flimsy to me. Might try cutting a slot in the strap and connecting it
like a guitar strap.
Is the leash lock common among dobro straps or is it just me.
Thanks,
Dave

Jim Heffernan sells a very good strap. Check his web site.
Take care, Billy
