I have to second that recommendation - here's the reso content - I play my
reso with a Lace pickup through one of these beasts on the Mic setting, and
I've competed successfully against a Tele, Fender Jazz, drum kit, PSG and
a/g with vocals. I've even done blues gigs fighting a full rock kit with my
lap steel on the AC30 and Twin Reverb settings.
The reverb's nice, and the delay is usable. Not so sure about the others
(except tremolo, which I used once on lap steel).

What about a POD Live feeding the PA for lap steel? I'm on the lookout for a
small portable system (and when I say "portable", I mean I don't have a car
- not that it would be any use in Tokyo, anyway).
