The Classic 30 is a wonderful amp. Plenty loud, very nice tone, reverb a little
soupy but useable. Tough enough (get the aftermarket "tube keeper" for it -see
ebay). Also, take out the stock tubes that came with it, smash them with a
hammer and put in new GT's or Sovteks. All of my lap steels LOVE the Classic
30. Also, if someone offers to sell you one of the rare and elusive matching
1x12 or 1x15 extension cabs, grab it.
Reso content - my Frugal 'Horn/Schertler Basik sounds simply awful through a
Classic 30
