Got a call to stand in at a gig this week. Not knowing what the
PA situation was like I showed up with one of everything,
including a borrowed 130 watt Fishman Loudbox Performer (
http://www.fishman.com/products/details.asp?id=85 ) which is
the "middle" product in Fishman's acoustic amp line.
I ended up using the amp without sending any kind of signal to
the (rather basic) PA that the band was using. My guitar is
outfitted with the old style McIntrye piezo pickup. I brought
along a volume pedal and an analog delay stomp box for the amp's
Fx loop.
The rig worked very well. No feedback issues (althoughI had a
Sabine eliminator in the case) and the getup was very appropriate
for the band and the venue.
It was neat not being tied to a mic. I waundered around the
stage for a bit until I got caught soloing without the volume
pedal in the required full on position... :-(
