With a flip of the fingers, you're moving less mass and putting less wear and
tear on your wrist.

A bullet bar -- I favor the medium size John Pearse bar -- is great for forward
and reverse slants. You can also cover two adjacent strings with the tip of the
bar while using open strings elsewhere. A bullet bar is far superior for
vibrato, since you want to roll the bar when playing more than one note at a
time. It's OK to wiggle it back and forth for single notes, but, with chords,
you get far too much string noise.
