Hi Bill,
You've done a lot of wonderful stuff there...
Being a computer nerd from way back, the one thing I'd recommend for anyone
doing this kind of work is that you backup the stuff you have on these devices.
It would be much more catastrophic to loose all your work on these devices -- and
have to do it over again from the raw CDs -- than it would be to loose the
devices themselves. And a loss of the devices themselves is all too possible
given their mechanical nature, their size and their popularity.
Especially with spinning media as is used with the bigger storage devices like
those that you're using, a couple of good, verified backups (in more than one
physical location) is worth much more than the cost of the media.
Keep up the good work, but make sure to back it up.
