That's right Larue, Oswald lives on in Mike Webb. Os' taught him how to do
it.
That is Oswald's old Dobro that he played with Roy Acuff for over 50 years.
I've played it myself, and it sounds just like that ! Got some magic it it for
sure.
Thanks for the kind words. I agree, this is a great list. Jim Warren

Holy beheysoosusias Mr. Warren, that's GRAND (youtube of Mike Webb)!!!
Mike Webb simply KILLS it and it's there for us to look at and practice.
Thumbs, rolls, slants here n there, UP THE NECK, WAY UP, and more.
Uh, I'm assumin Mike Webb IS the dobro player?
Thanks again Jim . . . like so many others in here, the gems you share are a
treasure for us
who were never there, then . . .
Hey, Jim, I put bronze wound Beard strings on that old Johnson, cut out a good
chunk of
the soundwell toward the nut from 10 to 2, and took out the screens!
With a good setup on nut an bridge now, you wouldn't RECOGNIZE it!!
*G*
But man, that one time you were here, you made that scrap piece sing like I
never have.
THANKS!
(Twangs never works the left coast . . . I'm just sayin . . . ) ;-)
