Gene,
I'm sure your struggle to become aquainted with BiaB is worth the trouble. I've
used Biab
for years already and it's the best music software on the market IMHO.
Did you already get to the chapter about guitar tunings? I'd like to know
whether they've
added the resonator guitar (GBDbgd) to list of tunings?
I understand that it's possible in recent versions to change the tuning in the
guitar
fretboard screen. In my version (I use Biab 10, at least 5 years old) there's
only standard
guitar tuning. There was a question about this on the PG Music Forum and I
wonder if
the programmers already reacted to that wish in Biab version 2007.
regards,
pieter

Sorry!
Looks like I forgot the email for Poff - Here it is:

My mind is in a tangle from working on "Band in a Box" since last Monday.
It's got to be the toughest software program that I have yet worked with.
I'm working towards making accompaniment CD's that I can play along with.
Fortunately, the tech representatives for BIAB are very good, and there is
absolutely no wait to talk to one. Not playing the keyboards is a big
handicap, but it can be overcome by downloading free MIDI files on the web.
The BIAB tutorials have been a problem for me in that they assume you have a
deep musical background, and use terms that I hadn't heard of. Again, the
tech guys helped here.
I found that when watching the video tutorials working with two windows
worked best. Use one window for the tutorial, and use the other for the BIAB
Main window. Watch a little of the tutorial - press "pause", and then switch
to the BIAB main window and try to match whatever was just covered in the
tutorial - then return to the tutorial window, press pause and continue,
etc..
If you decide to buy BIAB, plan on spending considerable time learning the
program. I expect it will take me two weeks to get a good feel for The
software.

Here's an email address that was good less than a year ago. I bought a very
nice 3" wide leather strap from him.
