The first time I was on the Tonight Show as a sideman, they saved 40 bucks by
only showing my hands. They would have had to have paid me $160 to have shown my
face. The plus, howeve3r, was that I was able to jam with Doc's band during the
breaks. Hey, now that I think of it, that was easily worth more than forty
bucks.
