I think the Asian imports are serving a niche, The popularity of this
instrument is growing. There aren't enough builders to keep up. Is there so
much difference to warrant a 4 year wait? I don't know what a custom guitar
is worth. I do know the MA6 is around 3500.00.
Most folks getting started aren't willing to step quite that high to
begin with. A 750.00 Beard is still pretty dear for someone who is also
raising a family. A 300.00 Regal might not have the prestige factor, but in
a jam, around a campfire, with a bunch of folks with an average of 18 months
of musical experience, nobody cares anyway.
