Hi There,
I put together a little slide show/movie of some of the goings on in
Nashville last week if anyone is interested. It's about six and a
half minutes long, but I discovered it seems to work better if you
download it first then watch it rather than watch it streaming.

I have to admit, about half of the footage is of Paul Franklin
playing pedal steel! ( I realize this is the reso-list, but there's
Dobro stuff in there too!) I went to the Station Inn Monday to see
"The Time Jumpers" ( a fabulous western swing band) thinking I was
going to see steel guitar hall of fame-er John Hughey, and much to my
surprise, Paul Franklin was filling in for him, another pedal steel
giant! Life is good.
Unbeknownst to me, my video camera went on the fritz during the IBMA
Distinguished Achievement Awards luncheon, so I had no footage at all
of Mike Auldridge's acceptance speech. I did however get some still
photos from afterwards, and some shots of the wonderful Dobro
gathering that Betty Wheeler so masterfully orchestrated in the
California Bluegrass Association Suite. (I took the liberty of
scanning the cover of one of the hand-outs that Betty made for the
event, and included it in the slide show.)
After such a wonderful week in Nashville, I'm even more jealous of
all those lucky folks going to the Reso-summit in November.
Sigh....
