Howdy--
I've been buying my strings from Euphonon for years and have no
complaints about them.
They last as long and feel about the same as the D'Addario J42s, I
used in the past..

Euphonon has an 800 # on their web site.. call 'em up and ask that
they switch out some strings for
you. They sell strings by the doz., and might be willing to swap out
the top 2 unwrapped strings in the
Acoustic Medium Phosphor bronze sets. Euphonon charges __ $24.00 __
for a dozen
sets of phosphor bronze strings. They get them from major
manufacturers, but have an
agreement not to reveal the maker of the strings.. they are, however,
major maker quality strings.
If you add a dollar to your order Euphonon will ship them straight
in a long, triangular tube.
When you get 'em (tip from Dick D) lay 'em out on the living room
rug put a dab of nail polish
on the .016s so you don't get the top 2 unwound strings confused if
you're changing them in a hurry.
Then make sets from the string piles and put 'em in ziplock bags.
At this price you can change
them a lot more often.
you will have to get them to swap out the first 2 strings because
they are set up
for flat top guitars and the first 2 strings are .013 and .017...
==> you want the medium Phosphor Bronze set to be
,016 .018 .026 .035 .045 .056
FWIW
Tom
PS it's worth noting that a doz. D'Addario J42s are 12 x 6.05
a set = $72.60
