Hi Tom
Everthing is indeed fine with me, except, I've had to cancel my plans to go to
Reso-Summit, due to health issues with regards to a family member. Just not the
right time for me to go "twangin" off to Nashville, and I can't tell you how much
I am going to miss the first Reso-Summit. I'd planned on taking at least one of
my Sho-Bros, and certainly "Blackie" DeNeve but hey, you can't have everything,
and I do thank God for the blessings I do have. There's always next year!
Regarding that fella changing strings on his Scheerhorn, I'll bet that wasn't
the first time he's done that! I put a set of strings on "Dolly" my 8 string
'75 OMI Dobro (and the only "real" Dobro I own) yesterday. Dolly has the
"traditional" open peg head, dang! Admittedly I'm not used to changing
strings on open peg head guitars, and what a hassle, compared to the newer style
regular peg heads, with regular tuning keys. I'll bet it took me well over an
hour....duh.
As I'm sure everyone else on this list is, I'm really worried about Betty
Wheeler. She was so nice to me, when I told her I had to cancel out regarding
Reso-Summit. That email she wrote, while sitting in a closed room, trying to
avoid the smoke and particualte matter floating around in the air, and with Haze
already packed in the trunk of the car, with fire all around her....well, I'm
just praying she's allright. Betty, if you read this, let us know how you are
doing? If reso-related postings concern you, then let us all know how HAZE is
doing......k?
Richie
