Be careful believing that you are covered while
traveling unless you have a rider that says so. If
you make money playing, your home owners will not
cover that instrument, even in your house. I have
been through this with Farm Bureau Insurance. It is a
commercial issue because you get paid to play music.
The other instruments in your home are covered as long
as it is used for pleasure and not on stage in a
paying situation. Get a rider that covers you on the
road and at home.
