The Zoom H2 is a fine piece of equipment. I know two different
people who have them and they are both very satisfied. My coworker,
who is one of the pickiest people I know, sent back his Edirol and
got the H2. It does connect to the computer using one of those
little USB cables (the ones with the tiny end on one side and the
standard USB port on the other; it's a common digital camera cable).
You don't have to use special software to download the files. It
records as either MP3 or WAV format audio files, to a standard SD
memory card, so if you have a SD card reader, you can use that to
transfer the audio files as well.
When I get some more money together, I think I'm going to buy one
myself.
No opinion on baseball, though. I'm not into it.
