You are right, Gary. It has 2 built in mikes. In the setting originally
referred to in the thread, namely recording ResoSummit workshops, you can only
record the 2 channels live. But, yeah, it gives you the "capability" of
recording lots of tracks for later combining/editing. And it fits in your
pocket. If I didn't already have the H4, I would get the H2 - smaller and
cheaper. The extra features are sorta wasted on me. Pocket recording is all

Actually it is the H4 that is the 4 track recorder, not the H2. It only
records 2 channels at a time but it will store and play back 4 independent
tracks. You can then turn the 1st 4 into one new combined track and record
another 3 on top of that, etc., etc., ad nauseum. At some point there I
think you would really want to think about a studio however.
