Sure wish I coulda made the show, Richie. I love to hear Junior pick and
Julie's vocals compliment his playing quite nicely.
That tuning you mention sounds very close to what I have "Little Maggie"-my
6-string Magnatone tuned to. She's in (From high to low) E-C-A-G-E-C, show
just a half step up on the fattest string would put her there. Monday night
at the open mike, we got into a short run of Hank Williams songs and Little
Maggie just started grinning from pots to headstock!
On the (accoustic) Reso side, that little trick you showed me to just crank
up the low D string to E has Hazel the Dobro(R) tickled pink. When my mando
player calls out "Nails in my Coffin", Hazel just begs me to crank that
string up a whole step.
Hopefully, I'll hear about the next Beartracks appearance in time to clear
my calander and get out there.
Regards,
Dan in RI
