I doubt it very much unless you have a special rider
on the policy for it. And certainly not for
replacement value. You had better talk to your agent.
It can be added and is fairly reasonable (or at least
it used to be when I did it).
I'm closing on a new house tomorrow and this came up in talking with my
agent this week. The homeowner's policy does not include the instruments once
taken out of the house. You can get a separate policy to cover them. That's
not to say every insurance company deals with it this way, but my insurance is
with State Farm, so I would think that it's pretty much an industry
standard. You also might want to check how much your homeowners policy covers
them
for - because the standard coverage limit was $2500. Of course you can bump
that amount up and it only makes a small difference in the premium.
