Hello folks. My first time on. I'm the Dobro player with a bluegrass
gospel group here in Niagara (peach picking country) known as the Peach

My question is for a long-time-friend Dobro player in Nova Scotia who is not
"online" and maybe should be directed to Howard Parker.
He has a Dobro serial No. 179 which he believes was made by Regal under
lisence for Dobro as Regal did when the Dobro business was booming and Dobro
couldn't turn them out fast enough. I do not have any picture of the unit
yet, but here's the description as given to me by my Nova Scotia buddy:
It is a dark sunburst, Serial No. 179.
Solid headstock with regular Dobro logo. Has Chicago, Ill patent number.
There are no 3 holes at the end of the fingerboard.
Neck is a tapered neck, square but tapered at the body.
No binding down the neck.
Top & bottom of body has binding.
Can anybody please comment on the possible year of manufacture please.
