Subject:Re: [RESOGUIT-L] Tunings and re-tuning

From:John DeBoalt <johnd1944 @........net>

Tuning the B string 10 - 15 cents low will sweeten the sound. It takes the
beats or tremelo out when the G, and B strings are struck together. It all
has to do with the frequency of vibration of the string when tuned to the
desired pitch. Tuning charts can be found at Jefferan Music
(www.jeffran.com/tuning/tuning.htm ). There are also more technical
explanations on some other sites. Sounds like an egg slicer might be the
answer for some guys looking to outfit their resos with various, and sundry
pitch changing devices, Just MHO.
