Hi Lee,
Well.....some of us had to stay home to keep Poob's list active, so I guess it's
up to you and me! I remember one time years ago, at an outdoor gig, I had one of
those cheapo folding guitar stands, and it was windy and in those days I was
still playing pedal steel, and the wind blew my '76 OMI 8 string forward off of
it's stand onto the asphalt. I was NOT happy! Duh. Fortunately the guitar
survived with only a small ding in it's palm rest....
I saw one of my reso-heros a couple of weeks back, Jr. Barber, and Jr never uses
a stand. He brought two DeNeves that night, and laid the one not being played,
flat on the floor, and even went so far as to have the guitar in FRONT of him, so
it wouldn't get stepped on.
I do use stands here in my practice studio, but they're in corners of the room,
out of the way, etc.
You can't be too careful when it comes to caring for a treasured instrument! I
hope your "Horn" is ok?
