Playing the Beard E-model at Wintergrass is what did me in. I had
successfully resisted buying a new guitar for many years. Greg Boyd had
some, and some MAS, at the festival. After about three tunes on that one,
my order was in. No looking back, either. There are more good reso makes
out there than you can shake a wallet at, but I have yet to play one I like
as well as mine. :)
Then again, I was sorely tempted (before the Greenbeard) by Scheerhorns and
Clinesmiths. I might be saying the same about them, if I'd gone that way!
Many fine instruments out there. Terrible decision to have to make. What a
position to be in. Condolences.
