I tried learning tablature, it works but is limited to memorizing songs.
Later Bev King said just stay within the chord network. A couple of frets
back of forwards, I also try to use slants because they do sound different
from the equivalent straight note. I'm going to send you a chart I made up
(on a slow day at work) that might be of some use.
