hm-m-m... just when I thought slants were safely tucked away in
a museum somewhere..
anybody know whether Gene Wooten recorded this tune. Seems like
GSB
would lay in there just right with Gene's style. If he did
record it, how does it
compare with Josh, Michael Witcher,.etc..
What a fantastic way to end ResoSummit! I remember thinking
Michael's choice of GSB
was curious given the incredible wizardry he displayed Sunday
afternoon.
BUT, it _was_ Sunday, after all... and it was pure genius to
end ResoSummit
with a tribute to Josh... (hats off, everybody) I was pleased
and greatly moved
by Michael's version of that tune. It brought Josh back for a
moment... my
eyes are leaking just thinking about it. Michael played GSB
with great reverance
and great feeling... pass the Kleenex, please... Gives me
something to think about
for Resomania 5 at Wintergrass 2008. ( ==>

Tom, playing his old Dobro and missing his square neck which
is on its way back to
Paul Beard for some adjustments...
