Sorry Howard but my experience is that the Scheerhorn kicks the Model E's
proverbial ****. That said, the Auldridge is a great, fairly reasonable
priced instrurment,
but frankly, with all due respect to Mike and Paul, Jim Adams and Greg
McKenna and
the master of Masters, Mr. Ivan Guernsey all turn out Mucho Superb Birch
instruments
(Jim and Ivan make the L or "D" large body size) and all of these gentlement
build an
instrument that is as fine-sounding, and fine-looking as the MA. I have had
the pleasure
of owning instruments from each of these makers, as well as an MA, and the
Birch/Big Body
combo, for me, is the ticket to reso-bliss. Bottom line as always: YMMV,
however, price
and name should not be the sole criteria for your instrument purchase.

Of course, I will only play Clinesmiths, as Whitman said "Do I contradict
myself? Well so what!"
or something like that.

Happy Festivus to all, (it's the holiday for the rest of us). Get out your
Poles!

sell low dobro trading.
