Hi Listers,
I was messing around on You Tube and came across some of Tut Taylor's postings.
On one of them, he's got Jens Kruger demonstrating some of Tut Taylor's custom
instruments. Now anyone who's ever seen the Kruger Brothers, has to know that
Jens Kruger is probably one of the best banjo pickers on the planet....my opinion
anyways.....but I've never seen or heard him play a dobro!
Till now.......
Funny, because I was talking to fellow lister Andy Katz just the other night,
and one of the subjects we discussed, was positioning the right hand on the
instrument. I'd like you all to watch Tut's videos and pay attention to Jens's
right hand while he's playing that beautiful white dobro. To my eye, Jens's
technique is flawless!! Something to strive for.

ps, I don't really know how to forward urls (or what they are even...duh!) but
if you get on You Tube, and search for Tut Taylor, and then find the ones
referring to Tut's Instrument Collection, you shouldn't have any trouble. Worth
taking a look at, for sure.
