I'm sure I've told the story here of a local dobro player who singed the
finish on his guitar trying to keep warm in a jam circle around a
propane-type heater at the Blythe festival. He sent it to the luthier to
get the finish redone, and on the instrument's return journey, it went on
some long and winding journey courtesy of UPS, and when it finally was
located by UPS and returned to the owner, a screen had indeed popped out and
danced all over the surface of the guitar, necessitating an immediate trip
back to the luthier...
So Paul's advice is good, for those of you inexplicably fail to embrace the
Truth that f-holes are better... And yet, you same disbelievers are busy
trading in your sound screens for rings.
