I flew with Delta coming and going. A regional jet with a transfer to
larger one for the trip into Nashville.
I too was dubious about flying with my instruments. Not knowing what to
expect I left my Adams custom at home and flew with my Regal RD-45
My experience went very well. The flight out of Texas was a small regional
jet with no clothes closet and no room in the overhead. I gate checked it.
Therefore no conveyor belt handling and only one handler from my hands to
the belly of the aircraft. That worked out great! Not a scratch or ding
on the case. The transfer out of Atlanta to Nashville was on a larger jet.
I again hand carried it to the gate and the flight attendant without me even
asking placed it in the closet they have forward in 1st class.
The same procedure was followed on the return flight with the same results.
No scratches, dings or damage of any kind.
