I have a 2002 Beard R body mahogony I've had since new. I have a buzz or rattle
that just started when I play a B note on the third string, fourth fret.
I'm sending it in for a set up by Beard this month. It hasn't had one
since new. I know it's way overdue.
Here's an interesting thing. I went to Gruhn Guitars today in
Nashville. I played several new Beards. A gold tone, a spruce vintage R, the Mike
Auldridge ma - 6 and some other top end Beards. They were all new.
They all had the same buzz or rattle on the third string, fourth
fret.
I didn't get it on the other reso's I played.
Anyone have any ideas about what is causing this? I know about the
spider legs all having to be on the cone. What about the screw thru the bridge
into the cone being out of adjustment?
Thanks and happy new year!
