Hmm . . . Wayne, changing tunings from the basic GBDGBD or the D Tuning
(someone refresh me?) D A D F# A D, can really rock yer world.
But to got to the 6th Tunings, is a leap.
At two years in, with no music or other instruments, I could not handle it.
But what the hay, the G6 tuning, as offered, is ONE string, UP one note.
If it don't bust, might be fun to play around with!!!!
I now have two reso's, and one is in D. I'm not doin so well with it. But I
don't mess with it much for now.
At fests, a LOT of my fest pals wanna play outta D, and I'm ok doing that outta
the G Tuning.
I KNOW if I tuned to the D Tuning, I'd be better off. And Maybe this fest year,
I take the leap!!!!
Keep on pickin Wayne, it's fun as all get out, and hit fests and bust up jams
whether they let you in or not!!!!! *G*
