From:John DeBoalt <johnd1944 @........net>

Hey Rene, 12 C is about 53 F. Almost bikini weather by Northern, NY, and
New England standards. Down here in Texas it's 43, but going back up in the
70'2 soon. About 25 C would be nice. I can go back to playing the reso out
doors..

John

Hello Richie,

How frosty in Moo Hampshire ? In Estonia it is -12 degrees of Celsius. How
much is it in Farenheit-scale ?
Are you still able to play without handwear ?
Take care !
Rene

Heyyy Wayne,

You don't EVER be sorry for starting a thread sir! I have a list of
something like 13 or sodifferent tunings for lap steel guitar, and basically
I consider a "dobro" just a mechanically amplified non pedal steel guitar.

To get started with "different" tunings, first make sure you've got some
spares, but gently take that fourth string upppp slowly from D a whole tone
or two frets up to E! Depending on your guitar, if you decide you like this
change, you might have to put a 4th string on that's a couple of thousandths
lighter, but Wayne, trust me, a ol' Texas boy like yourself will suddenly
find hisself in Bob Wills' band!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ha!!!

"Frosty" in Moo Hampshire
