Nice clean looking instrument Gene. I've got one of those offset spiders on
"Sophie" Sho-Bro. They allow the use of a one piece bridge as the adjusting
screw for the cone is actually between the insert and the tailpiece. No palm
rest! Takes a bit of getting used to. To answer your question regarding what
tuning, I'd guess that ***most*** of the folks on this list, that play with a
steel bar, are using either the G tuning, from 6 to 1 GBDGBD, or the D tuning,
from 6 to 1 DAF#DAD. I'll bet you can play some decent "swing" tunes with that
tuning you mentioned.....
