I'm pretty sure I can take credit for having the first Beard guitar that
Jerry ever played. My flamed maple #7.
It was a hot day in 1989 at the Winterhawk festival. Paul had instructed me
to try to get Jerry to play that guitar. I gladly obliged and spent about an
hour with Jerry in the Hot Rize bus.
And, OK, I will publicly admit... I still have the set of strings.
