Hi Jim,
I've probably still got a couple of those promo pictures of Bob & Grace French (and for those on the List, these folks were, and still are, bluegrass LEGENDS in our part of the country) and around that time, a friend of mine from 2nd grade, Norm Delaney, was playing bass for Bob & Grace, small world huh? Norm can still be found every year, at Thomas Point in "his" spot, near
the stage.
I played steel guitar for awhile for Robin Right who is still a "name" in New
England and even world wide "indy" country music circles, and the last time I saw
Ralph Jones, I went to a show, because my friend Robin, had won the New England
Country Music Entertainer of the Year award, (for the third consecutive year if I
remember right,) and they had Ralph playing with them for the evening. That's
where I noticed that "hardware/strap" arrangement.
Ralph was pretty far along in years at that point, and probably passed away soon
after. I'll never forget that arrangement to attach the strap to the peg head
tho.....yeah! If that guitar still exists, and could be found, it would be an
interesting piece of "reso-history" to own.
Richie
