I remembered that Uncle Josh played bass on TV before Dobro with Flat & Scruggs and he played a great walking bluegrass bass. Does anyone know what other instruments did Josh play?

What I have heard, in addition, is that F&S hired him to play bass, then had him
switch to Dobro.
Josh also wrote some beautiful songs. Wilma Lee and Stoney recorded at least
one, "Come Walk With Me". I don't have a copy, so don't know if it was
recorded
when he played Dobro with them. A version sung by the Whites is on Josh's CD
"Sultan of Slide."
