Any of the Jr. Barber & Beartracks cd's, (they now have three, just bringing out a new one,) are excellent. Junior Barber is beyond excellent on dobro, accompanied by his two cousins, Tom Venne, and his sister, Julie Venne-Hogan. Tom and Julie have excellent sibling harmony, and with Junior's dobro playing...... for me, it just doesn't get much better than Beartracks!

As our Poob says, it's "the Golden Age of Dobro" and Howard, truer words were
never spoken! From the older styles of Ozwald, and thru the modern "fast-action"
players, there's truly something for everyone's taste.

Some folks like the "traditional" pre-war dobros, while for some, the newer
instruments, which some think are better built etc., you pays u'r money and you
makes u'r choce....seriously.

Makes for a great thread tho, so keep those suggestions and opinions coming.

Richie (who's looking forward to Joe Val, 'cause it's looking like I'm gonna be
there!)
