The issue of a footrest begs an other question. When playing sitting the
reso can be set in the lap where the left leg (for a right hander) supports
the neck or the strap can be used to keep the neck off the leg. Is it just
me or is the string vibration damped somewhat when the neck rests on the
leg. I tend to believe it does on my old Mosrite era round neck. It
doesn't sound as bright and the tuning can be affected also. Comments?
